Hi, my name is Andrew. I love light, motion, and a good cry.

My films have been featured at Sundance, SXSW, CNN, The New York Times, The New York Times MagazineThe New Yorker, and TIME Magazine. In 2016, while working as the Director of Photography at MediaStorm, I was named “Multimedia Photographer of the Year” by Pictures of the Year International.

I direct and shoot films, commercials, and documentaries. I work locally in New York and Los Angeles but I specialize in making beautiful imagery in rugged environments.

I've made films in 29 countries, and I love teaching young people to make movies everywhere I go. I've also enjoyed teaching workshops at colleges like NYU, Vassar, and Columbia. Teaching gives me a chance to distill what I think know from what I actually know, and I enjoy that distillation very much.

I own a fully equipped RED Weapon package that I take everywhere from maximum security prisons to deep cave dives. I put it on steadicams and cranes but I like it best on my shoulder.

Nomadique is an arts collective I co-founded which hosts monthly dinners and pop-up art exhibitions in Brooklyn.

HELIX is a video platform I also co-founded that's dedicated to creating and distributing dance on film.
